I raced the Big Bear Spartan in my new VJ ultras and they were great. Plenty of cushion and room in the toes. They handled the steep rocky terrain quite well. I highly recommend.
I ran the trifecta weekend at Big Bear, ca and all three race were in my Xtrm2 shoes. Surprisingly, all my toe nails remained. No blisters, bruises on feet, no pain. These shoes live up to their new name. Oh and they gripped and drained better too
Hi
They were the first shoe that wasn't even close to my foot fitting into a size 11 I tried two sizes and ultimately just too small I did purchase the xtrm and fits great
I had really high hopes for the trail runners. Unfortunately, I found them to be very uncomfortable. I had originally exchanged for a larger size (they run extremely small) but even with proper sizing, I had SEVERAL blisters and hot spots. The ground grip was great, but again, comfort level terrible and I literally felt every stick and rock underfoot.
Disappointed.
The Spark is designed for Ground Feel with no rock plate and a responsive midsole! The fact that felt the ground underfoot is by design.
I ran the Fayetteville ultra and got 3rd place age group and I absolutely love these shoes . These will be my go to from now on i highly recommended they are light weight, great in mud, and amazing traction !
