Tongue of the shoe lacks durability.

6 miles on the trails and the tongue has some damage. Overall feel of the shoes of the trail is very nice, but if you don’t wear wool socks, you will get blisters with these shoes.

    Great Fit and Grip

Unbelievable over the most technical trails you can find; the grip IS the best on the planet; race worthy from the onset

    Grip is outstanding!

I’ve been wanting to try a pair of VJ’s for awhile and the MAXx were a great choice for OCR. They are incredibly grippy and I can’t wait to test them out on some slick obstacles + muddy terrain.

    Second pair!!!

This is the first trail shoe I've owned that needed to be replaced because of the miles and use of the shoe and not because they fell apart. I had no doubts that I wanted the exact same shoe again. These shoes are worth the hype! They are lightweight yet still have the best grip. I've talked with fellow racers who were behind me at some points on the trail and they said "you didn't slip when I did." I can trust my feet on the trails and keep running. They are also great for my OCR events! Muddy walls haven't been an issue.

    Grip that doesn't quit!

I have used almost every shoe out there for OCR and trail running and I have not found one that grips as well as these. Also the light weight and decent cushioning make it as comfortable as a road shoe.
