    Maxx for Ultras

I don't see VJs on many or really any Ultra athletes but I was curious to try them as I run very rocky technical terrain in the Utah mountains and their slimmer design but stout rock plate compared to many other standard trail shoes was intriguing. They are hands down probably my new favorite and just tackled Tushar mountains 70k in the Maxx and it was perfection especially when descending. Love love them

Tongue of the shoe lacks durability.

6 miles on the trails and the tongue has some damage. Overall feel of the shoes of the trail is very nice, but if you don’t wear wool socks, you will get blisters with these shoes.

    Great Fit and Grip

Unbelievable over the most technical trails you can find; the grip IS the best on the planet; race worthy from the onset
