XTRM

Size Guide

    Made for extreme trails...

The VJ XTRM is made for rocky and technical trails where grip, stability, and durability are mandatory.

The aggressive lugs grip dirt, mud, rocks and anything you run on. The super tough upper is a custom kevlar and polyester weave which provides extraordinary protection and durability. The sole has cushioning units in the front and heel for comfort and a full length rock plate to protect you on tough terrain.

The XTRM was built for obstacle course racing, trail and sky running and swim run. Use it for tough, demanding terrain in all conditions. This shoe wants to get dirty.

    really pleased!

I was worried about buying shoes online without trying them on, but read all the reviews. The XERO5 fit perfectly and are amazing on the snow/ice so far. The Xtrm fit a little tight but I am wearing them in the house to break them in as others have suggested. They feel really good so far, and when winter is over, I can't wait to try them out on my trails.

New Mexico rock tested - Bravo!

The Finnish-made VJ XTRM claim to have "the best grip on the planet." Being 3/4 Finnish, I was concerned whether they would pass muster. The critical test is a steep cross slope on rock. If the foot slides off the footbed or the shoe loses traction with the rock, that is bad.
I run cross country in the northern New Mexico wilderness and average 3 hours on both Saturdays and Sundays. 40 years of competitive racing and adventure running have honed my feel for my shoes.
These rides are curve lasted and narrow, and I was concerned whether the forefoot was too tight. Nope - that is what holds the foot in place and is well-designed. After 3 hours this morning across rugged rocky terrain, no hot spots or pains. No cushioning and a full rock-plate means that fit is all and these XTRM shoes are top notch!

    Amazing Grip

I have been doing casual trail running for a few years and have always worn normal running shoes to do so. This is my first pair of trail shoes and I am absolutely amazed how much grip I am getting from these shoes on loose rocks, sand, and pine needles. The fit is incredible and I don't have sore feet the next day.
